Helping You Create Your Wedding

I believe that your wedding is a celebration of you. It reflects not only who you are together, but as individuals, and while I am capable of planning the whole event for you to just show up, I find most of my clients prefer to be very involved in the process. I strive to work within your style, being as involved as you want me to be. For example, some couples approach me after selecting the site for their wedding and ask me to guide them from there, while others call me almost immediately after saying "Yes".

When you choose to work with me, we will determine where we need to begin. As I listen to the story of your relationship and hear you describe your desires, I am able to visualize potential sites (if one has not been selected) and vendors where you can realize that dream. I can also prompt you with ideas to help you clarify your thoughts, as well as help you determine a realistic budget. I save you time and stress by choosing and escorting you to sites that fit your needs.

Through many years of working with weddings, I have developed strong relationships with a variety of professionals, including marriage officiants, caterers, floral designers, photographers, videographers and musicians. I also work with various forms of transportation, from shuttling guests to the site, to transporting the bride in a horse and carriage!

Between our initial meeting and the actual wedding we refine the details and coordinate the logistics. I consult with you in person, by phone and email as your location and time permit. My clients come from all over the United States and beyond, and I am able be flexible in meeting your needs. I prefer to attend any meetings with the site and caterer, and I am available to be there if you feel that I can provide assistance with your meetings with other vendors.

During the last few weeks we finalize the time line for the day and I reconfirm all of the details and logistics with the vendors and site to be sure we are all in agreement. We meet the week of the wedding to transfer as much from your hands to mine --- anything such as items needed for the ceremony - wine, special glasses, unity candle, etc. as well as things for the reception - guest book, table assignment cards, checks to be delivered to various vendors, etc. As you relinquish responsibility, you can revel in the romance of the occasion. I attend the rehearsal (and if it isn't in a church, I often conduct it --- with the guidance of you and your officiant) and I am there on the day of the wedding so that you may focus on each other and enjoy this amazing day!
